  10. he led his team to the Michigan state cham-
  11. pionship, in 1977. He then moved on to
  12. Michigan State University, and in 1979, led 
  13. the Spartans all the way to the NCAA cham-
  14. pionship. In the final game of the tourna-
  15. ment, Michigan State beat Indiana State
  16. University and its star forward, Larry Bird, 
  17. 75-64, and Magic moved on to the NBA.
